Package 1

The method

One formula. Two weights. No black box.

Dimensional weight converts the space a parcel occupies into a weight. Each package is evaluated separately, then the billable weights are added together.

  1. 01

    Measure the outer box

Use the longest points, including bulges. Carrier-specific dimension rounding is applied where the official rule states it.

  2. 02

    Calculate dimensional weight

Multiply length, width, and height, then divide by the selected carrier factor.

  3. 03

    Keep the greater weight

Compare dimensional and actual weight for each package. The greater value becomes the estimated billable weight.
